CQ Pet Rescue Inc. was involved in a puppy rescue on 24 August 2013. Nine puppies were found dumped a few kilometres out of Emerald. With the current conditions being hot and dry, quick intervention was required to make sure the puppies did not end up suffering from heat stroke or worse. Thanks to the help of the local newspaper CQ News, many of these puppies have already found their new forever homes!
